Microsoft has, at last, released their second service pack for their latest Office suite, Office 2007. This update comes almost a year after the first service pack, but includes many important features and updates that make it worth the wait.
In general, Microsoft describes Office 2007 SP2 as:
- All of the Public Updates, Security Updates, Cumulative Updates, and Hotfixes released through February 2009.
- Previously unreleased fixes that were made specifically for this service pack. (In addition to general product fixes, this includes improvements in stability, performance, and security.)
However, unlike the folks at Apple, Microsoft provides a more detailed list of changes that were made in SP2. Due to the extreme amount of changes that were made, they can not fit inside one article, so head over to this KB article on Microsoft's site to read the complete list.
